Valle d'Aosta can offer lot more things, besides the one you very well described. It is a real paradise for nature and sports lovers. Although I love skiing, I believe that the region offers its best from late spring to late autumn. First of all, an incredible number of hikes and treks of every levels as well as lots of mountain bike trails. Then river rafting, horse-riding, tennis, a beautiful golf course at the bottom of the Mont-Blanc and the glaciers. So, if you like nature and breathtaking views, I strongly recommend to explore Aosta Valley, where every season has its peculair charme.
