Transavia airlines was the first airline in the Netherlands to receive international recognition from the Civil Aviation Authority, on behalf of the Joint Aviation Authorities, for its overall airline operation. This recognition, the JAR-OPS 1 certificate, is a mark of quality for standards relating to flight preparation, performance and maintenance. Furthermore, in 1992 Transavia Airlines C.V. was the first organisation in Europe to receive the JAR-145 (now PART-145) certificate, a quality certification for the maintenance of aircraft following the latest European requirements.
