The plan to launch Wizz Air was only conceived in June 2003 when six people with a wide range of airline expertise, as well as successful track records from across different industries, teamed up with Jazsef V¡radi, the Company`s Chief Executive Officer. In just three months, Wizz Air was a registered company ready to fly.
Today Wizz Air has 6 operating bases in the region: Katowice, Warsaw, Gdansk in Poland, Budapest in Hungary, Sofia in Bulgaria and Bucharest in Romania, offering flights to close to 50 destinations. Wizz Air will open its 7th base in Poznan in January 2008.
