Thomsonfly is part of TUI AG, the largest tourism and travel services group in the world, which is based in Hanover, Germany. This also includes TUI UK which has brands including Thomson - the UK’s largest tour operator and Thomson Travel Shops - the UKs biggest travel agency. Thomsonfly is part of a group of airlines in the World of TUI including Hapag-Lloyd in Germany, Britannia in Sweden, Corsair in France and TUI Airlines in Belgium. As from April 2007, Hapagfly and Hapag-Lloyd Express (HLX) will operate under the new joint brand TUIfly. The 56 aircraft in the TUIfly fleet will then serve a route network of around 75 destinations in 17 different countries. Prices for a single flight on selected routes begin at just € 19.99 and can be booked at TUIfly.com, at your travel agency or through the TUIfly service centre. TUIfly is now the third-largest airline in Germany and is expected to carry some 13.5 million passengers in 2007. TUIfly employs a workforce of approx. 2400.

Ryanair was Europe’s original low fares airline and is still Europe’s largest low fares carrier. In the current year Ryanair will carry 52m passengers on 627 low fare routes across 26 European countries. We have 25 European bases and by the end of March 2008 Ryanair will operate a fleet of 163 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with firm orders for a further 99 new aircraft (all net of planned disposals), which will be delivered over the next 5 years. Ryanair currently employs a team of 5,000 people, comprising over 25 different nationalities.
