I am not sure if you have been in Tuscany or not, but either way there are books, which when you read you get immersed in the sounds and flavours and colours of one of the most beautiful places on earth. Every time I pick this book no matter in which part of the world I am and I dive in Tuscany and its countryside in an atmosphere which appeals to all my senses. And this is Frances Mayes Bella Tuscany: The Sweet Life in Italy and do read it if you have not it does inspire you for the important things in life, for enjoyment.

She does have other books you might like on your minds journey through Italy: Under the Tuscan Sun chronologically tells the story before Bella Tuscany, but either way you read them and you an in for a beautiful treat of your senses! Do get your copy (Amazon.com sells them) and you are in for a treat to enjoy Italy from the point of view of a foreigner who has fallen in love with this land.
